The Deacon: Icon of Christ the Servant, Minister of the Threshold is the fruit of theological research, practical ministry, and the experiences of marriage, work, and family, over a period of several decades.
Tim O’Donnell is a deacon in the Archdiocese of Boston. He teaches and leads retreats in the diaconate formation program there, and is assigned as Director of Parish Ministries at St. Paul Parish in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he and his wife live and have raised their three children. After earning his A.B. from Harvard with a concentration in Classics, he was a Knox Fellow at University College London, and later received an M.T.S. from the Weston Jesuit School of Theology and an S.T.L. (Licentiate in Sacred Theology) from the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. His articles have appeared in The Catholic Biblical Quarterly, Theological Studies, and Worship.
Tim has spent his working life in the business of real estate finance, and currently co-manages two Boston-based commercial mortgage banking firms.
